About the Artist

Tina Hunter

I fell in love with mosaic art 25 years ago when I needed a hobby to distract from the stress of a corporate job.  I took a class to make a mosaic table and never looked back. I create textural, natural landscapes, seascapes, abstract and whimsical art using a mix of materials that include stained glass, glass tiles, beads, buttons, seashells, broken plates and pottery.

During the pandemic, I began to embroider and taught myself to quilt.  I found that my work in fabric mirrored my work in mosaic.

My inspiration comes from the beauty of the landscape, sunrises, and nature of the Olympic Peninsula and Salish Sea. Embracing mosaic and fabric art has brought balance, inspiration, passion, and peace to my life.
